…since I even took a look at this site. I notice that my following didn’t drop off that much, so a big thank you to all those who chose to stick with me! Or just totally forgot about it, haha.
As you might imagine, it’s been a difficult summer. Aside from work being extremely busy, I also did some damage to the ligaments in both my wrists. Through June and July, I did some physio and REALLY backed off on the weights. Flash forward to late September, and they’re almost back to 100%. I still get some pain occasionally, but heat and Voltaren really help.
I’ve been getting back into the gym a lot more after some slack time this summer, and now that my wrists are feeling better, my workouts feel reinvigorated. Not making new strides, but definitely back in the swing of things. My diet has also gotten a lot better.
I gained a few pounds over the summer (too much beer and tasty BBQ), but since Labour Day I’ve been getting back to basics and have lost roughly half of the 15 pounds I gained since May. I should be back to my May weight by about the second or third week of October if all goes as planned, and then I can start making new progress.
One area I really want to focus on is the area around my waist, specifically my belly and love handles. Despite losing 60 pounds since the start of 2013, my belt size has only gone down about 4 inches. I’ve lost bulk from every part of my body except around my waist. Trying something new, I’ve purchased something off of Amazon in an attempt to reduce the size of my gut.
